At my church, CMC, we had our Wild West Days outreach this year on May 3, 2009. We had a
great turn out, and had a lot of fun and fellowship. It was raining on and off, but it was a fruitful day. Most importantly,
people were saved and rededicated their life to the Lord Jesus Christ!
My pastor, Ashley Ellison, has a heart to reach the lost. He decided to put on a "Wild West Days" outreach to draw in the community for some wild west days from the late 1800's. Tent meetings, old cowboy attire, hillbilly attire, good old-time gospel music, skits and more. Good old-time preaching as well.
Many people in the church were carrying around Million Dollar Bill gospel tracts and handing them out to anyone they didn't recognize, who came to the event. They wanted to put the gospel message in their hand. Praise God.
I dressed as an Undertaker for the Outreach
During the outreach, I would be asking trivia questions and passing out gospel tracts. I wanted to dress as an undertaker, thinking that it would make people think about death and dying, and where they would spend eternity.
