The Ultimate Statistic - 10 out of 10 die
Judgment Day
Remember, each of us has an appointment to keep with God.The Bible says, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." (Heb. 9:27)
If there was one chance in a million that Jesus Christ "has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel", then you owe it to your good sense to look into it.
John the Baptist preached judgment for sin. He told Herod that he had transgressed God's Law in taking his brother's wife, and that cost John his life (Mark 6:18).
In the eyes of the world, there is nothing popular or positive about preaching the reality of Judgment Day. But we must.
On the Day of Judgment, all murderers, as well as rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, fornicators, etc., will finally be brought to justice. The Day of Judgment is the reason men are commanded to repent (Acts 17:30-31). It is through the "fear of the Lord that men depart from sin (Proverbs 16:6).
Imagine if someone raped your mother or sister, then strangled her to death. Do you think God should punish him? The answer is, "yes, of course, that makes sense".
Do you think He should punish murderers, adulterers, what about blasphemers, even thieves and liars, etc.? God is perfect, holy, just, and righteous, and that His "prison" is a place called "hell". God has to uphold his Law. If it's broken, a price has to be paid.
Remember the questions listed above (the Ten Commandments)? How many of God's Law's have you broken? There are only four listed above, there are six we haven't looked at.
Remember, God gave you a conscience. You know right from wrong. The Bible warns, "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." One day, it will happen. You will collide head-on with God on Judgment Day.
