Miranda Lambert 041213
Miranda Lambert Concert Outreach

John Q Hammons Arena
Springfield, MO

April 12, 2013

This evening was the concert for country music star, Miranda Lambert.  It was held at the JQH Arena in Springfield, MO.  I didn't go out alone, my friend and faithful laborer in Christ, Dennis Vance, came out with me.

When we arrived, they had a sound system set up outside and were playing very loud country music.  We began passing out gospel tracts as people were walking to the doors to enter the concert.

Not long afterwards, I set up my step-stool and got out my amplifier to open air preach.  As I began to preach, the people running the sound system playing the country music turned it up to try to drown out the message.  It did pretty much drown out what I was saying, but the people directly around me and those walking by could still hear.

After my preaching, I felt led of the Spirit to read John Chapter 3, and read the entire chapter.

We continued to pass out gospel tracts.  The majority of people would take a gospel tract.  The tracts we were passing out are the million dollar bill tracts.  They look like real money on one side and has a solid gospel message on the other side.

We've been passing these types of gospel tracts out for years at the John Q Hammons Arena.  Quite a few people attending the concerts have already received them, so they know what they are.

We get all kinds of comments when we hand them the million dollar bill gospel tract.  Here are some of them:
    "Jesus money"
    "H - LL Yeah!"

"No, I don't want one...I'll take my chances in hell"

"Holy S - - t, it's a million dollar bill" (I can't wait for them to read the gospel message on the back after what they     said).

    "What is it?"

"Oh, thanks. My friend found one of these in a restroom one time"

    "Thank you!"

Since the music was so loud, Dennis decided to move further away, down the sidewalk.  There were semi-trucks parked along the sidewalk.  Between the semi-trucks and the wall of the JQH Arena, it created a sound tunnel, of sorts.  Dennis open air preached there with his amplified speaker.

Dennis told me he felt led to read a portion of John Chapter 3 as well.  He read from it and preached.  All the people walking down the sidewalk up to the concert were able to hear the gospel message.

I heard a message recently by Pastor Aaron Brummitt.  He said (I'm paraphrasing), "Every Christian is either part of Heaven's building program or Hell's building program.  If you are not sharing the gospel to your friends, family, co-workers, etc., then you are part of Hell's building program."

Jesus said in Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."  This was the last thing He said to his disciples.  It is very important.  Over 150,000 people die each and every day in this world.  Most of them are going to hell.

The Bible says in Matthew 7:13, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it."

Luke 19:10 says, "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”  Since Jesus came to earth to seek and save the lost, AND since He commanded us to preach the gospel and be witnesses for Him, don't you think we, as Christians, should do it?

You can pass out gospel tracts.  You can make comments to those you are in contact with throughout the day, which will open up a door to speak about spiritual things.  There are so many ways.  Just do something.  People are dying every day and going to hell.  YOU can make a difference in someone's eternity.

In Christ,

Brad St. Clair
